Lance Armstrong loses his title winning the Tour de France

Ecuador gives asylum to Julian Assange

A Julian Assange have granted political asylum in Ecuador, Assange is the founder of Wikileaks. Google acquired Wildfire

Google acquired a company that provides software service which makes a connection between various social networks such as Facebook Inc., Twitter, LinkedIn Corp., Pinterest - Wildfire, that causing customers or users can manage their online brand and presence. Twitter social networking most used for companies

Each year Burson-Marsteller  presents a study analyzing what kind of mechanisms and networks are used by large companies for external communications, the Global Study Social Media Check-up has been developed by the company Burson-Marsteller, with data from Visible Technologies , which is dedicated to monitoring, analysis and social media services to companies globally. One result that courage is that Twitter is social networking site most used by large companies in the world. After Twitter, the social networking sites commonly used by large companies are YouTube and Facebook. 79% of these companies has its own channel on YouTube, compared to 57% in 2011. For Facebook, the number of companies having at least one page on this platform is 74%, and in the case of the Google Network +, despite its recent introduction, and is used by 48%. 

The media Social Burson-Marsteller Global Check-up 2012, examined the Fortune Global 100 use the popular social networking platforms like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and for the first time, in addition to Google and Pinterest. The sample size for countries/ regions used for the study of Burson- Marsteller are: USA = 29 companies, 45 companies = Europe, Asia and the Pacific = 23 companies, Latin America = 3 companies. Comparisons were made to the first Global Fortune 100 Burson-Marsteller Study of Social Media, Social Media globally Check-up 2010, published on February 23, 2010, and the second annual Social Media global check-up, published on February 15, 2011. Data were collected by the global research team Burson-Marsteller. And along with some interesting results of this study are some important findings indicate that of the Fortune Global 100 companies have accounts in each platform more than ever, with an average of: 10.1, 10.4 Twitter account Facebook pages, 8.1 channels from YouTube, Google Pages Plus 2.6 and 2.0 Pinterest accounts. Seventy-four percent of companies surveyed have a Facebook page. Ninety-three percent of corporate Facebook pages are updated weekly. Forty-eight percent of companies are now in Google Earth Plus. Twenty-five percent of companies have Pinterest accounts. 

Each corporate Facebook page has an average of 6,101 people talking about it. About the Study The data were collected in February 2012 on the basis of the activity of the Fortune Global 100 companies, social media Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Google and Pinterest Plus. The study found that there was an increase of 39 percent in the percentage of companies with a YouTube brand channel. Seventy-nine percent of companies in the study are using YouTube channel brand compared with 57 percent in 2011. These channels each average more than two million views and 1,669 subscribers. However, the study found that Twitter is the most popular platform among both companies and online discussions about these companies. 

On Facebook, 74 percent of companies allow users to "like" your page post on your "walls" and more than half (57 percent) of companies are responding to messages and comments. Yahoo's new CEO Marissa Meyer

Yahoo at his pressroom has announced that Marissa Mayer will be the new CEO of Yahoo. Marisa Meyer was a technology executive who has worked at Google since the early days of it. Mayer received his B.S. in symbolic systems and M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University, specializing in artificial intelligence for both degrees. 

The new was first reported by The New York Times and later became known in the press releases of Yahoo. Yahoo announce his appointment to Marissa Mayer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors will be effective July 17, 2012. Coming off a run of bad times for Yahoo, its last CEO Scott Thompson came in less time than ideal for the appointment of Mayer is expected a new beginning for the long-term company in Silicon Valley.

Mayer joined Google in 1999 as its employee no. 20 and led the efforts of many of the most recognized of Google, including the development of its search product and the main insignia emblematic of more than 10 years. Digg was sold in three different parts

Betaworks has acquired Digg

Betaworks,  has acquired the social news site Digg.com for an undisclosed amount. Betaworks’ founder John Borthwick will become the new CEO of Digg. So Digg was announced through its official blog.
